About Working Memory Span

Number Recall is for amateurs. This game shows you a sequence of items, each with three attributes — a color, a shape, and a count. After the sequence, you'll be asked about ONE of those attributes at a specific position. The cognitive load is real.

How to Play

1. A sequence of shapes appears, one at a time
2. Each shape has a COLOR, a SHAPE TYPE, and a COUNT
3. After the sequence, you're asked about one specific attribute at one specific position
4. Pick the correct answer
5. Sequence length grows by 1 each time you're right

Tips & Strategy

• Don't try to memorize all 3 attributes equally — focus on whichever feels most distinctive
• Verbal encoding helps: silently say 'two red triangles' rather than just looking
• If you panic, you've lost it. Stay calm and trust your encoding.
• Most people max out around length 5-6. Reaching 7+ is genuinely impressive.
